APS Corporate Retreat
APS held
its 2018 annual firm-wide corporate retreat in Kathmandu, the capital of the
Himalayan nation Nepal, which is home to the world’s tallest peak Mt Everest.
This annual
affair gathers in one location all the full-time staff of APS from its offices
in Singapore, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Tokyo, and New York, regardless of
corporate title or length of service.
Over 5 days
in Kathmandu, staff participated in a full-day investment meeting where fresh
trends were explored, a half-day firm-wide session to share ideas on boosting
efficiency, visited sites of interest in the city, and embarked on a 10km hike
through the hilly countryside.
This annual
gathering allows us to make fond memories together, brings us to places we
otherwise may not visit, as well as bring to life colleagues who are typically
embodied by email signatures, voices over the phone, or images in a video
conference.
Prior to
Nepal 2018, the firm has together experienced the sights, sounds, smells, and
tastes of Chiangmai, Colombo, Yangon, Osaka, Taipei, Sydney, Hanoi, Xiamen,
Phuket, Sapporo, and Singapore.
And together,
we will explore more destinations and make more fond memories together in the
years to come.
